For all them techno gurus that think about removing every gram possible from their equipment. It has proven again and again that inline skates perform at their best with a moderate amount of mass. What is moderate? That is still unanswered; it has varied from skater to skater but all and all more has been better than less. Luigino, the number one boot manufacturer in the world has studied for year’s optimizing ratios of weight utilizing inertia vs. no weight using pure strength. You can imagine why there are restrictions on the weight of golf balls as well as on golf club heads. Inline speed skating is a sport driven by manpower with skating surfaces that include massive friction. We have made the lightest boots in the world to have them fail miserably as well as the lightest frames to only find them breaking and not performing at elite standards. Unlike ice blades that have nearly no friction, we are forcing an inline chasse to turn sharp corners and maneuver straits under high stress creating heat, wear and fatigue on the wheels.
